Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Welcome to Docly ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), a free online markdown editor available at https://docly.qrux.shop. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Docly provides a browser-based markdown editor with live preview, PDF export, and optional cloud document storage. You may use the editor without an account. Signing in with Google is optional and is required only if you want to save documents to our servers.
- Free to use with no paid subscription plans
- Guest editing and PDF export without login
- Optional Google (Gmail) sign-in for unlimited document saves
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and must comply with Google's terms if you use Google sign-in. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you may use the Service only with involvement of a parent or guardian as required by law.
3. Accounts and Google sign-in
When you sign in with Google, we receive limited account information (such as your name, email address, and profile photo) from Google to create and maintain your Docly session. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may stop using Google sign-in and delete saved documents by signing out and contacting us to request account deletion (see Privacy Policy).
Google authentication is provided by Google LLC. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of documents and markdown content you create ("Your Content"). By saving content to the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, listing and editing your documents).
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You agree not to store or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or that violates others' rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or illegal material
- Interfere with other users' use of the Service
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using Google sign-in
- Scrape or overload the Service in a way that harms availability
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms.
6. Free service; no warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent retention of documents.
You should keep your own backups of important documents. We are not liable for data loss.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docly and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim — which for free use is zero.
8. Third-party services
The Service may integrate third parties such as Google OAuth for authentication. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, content, or policies. Use of those services is governed by their own terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Docly name, branding, and software (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except as allowed by applicable open-source licenses or with our written permission.
10. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service and other users. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms: buymeacoffee.com/dinudsi or contact the operator via the support channels listed on the Service.
By clicking "Continue with Google" or otherwise using Docly, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
